iPhone XR playing music through the car's USB

Hi: I have been able to play music from my iTunes library and apps by using my iPhone 7 though the USB port in my car with no trouble. One of my family members recently bought a brand-new iPhone XR which comes with a USB-C cable end, instead of the standard USB. Is it possible to get a kind of adaptor USB-to-USB C to connected to the car's audio system and play music thru it?
