One retailer had told me there has been an issue with the iPhone XR…? I did purchase the iphone XR when it first came out, so perhaps I am one of the few unlucky. I definitely don’t wanna be inconvenienced to go an hour and a half away to visit iphone store or being without my phone while being fixed. Anyone else experiencing same issue?

If your phone is in warranty or covered by AppleCare, an Apple Store or authorized service provider will replace it on the spot, no need to send it away to be fixed. If it is not covered they will replace it, but for a fee→iPhone Repair - Official Apple Support
If you were out of warranty and there was a hardware failure they offer an out-of-warranty for a fee to get a service replacement unit for less than the cost of a new phone.
I did and I took my phone to the store. They would not do anything. They suggested buying a new phone. but didn't know any promos. they told me to go check. horrible customer service.
