The easiest way is to buy the songs from the iTunes Store:

Get music, movies, and TV shows in the iTunes Store on iPhone - Apple Support

or subscribe to Apple Music:

Add and download music from Apple Music - Apple Support

Otherwise (if not in the Apple Music library) you need to get the songs on a computer and then sync your computer to the iPhone:

Import songs from the internet to iTunes on PC - Apple Support

Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support
