What Happen to the 27" iMac
What happened to the 27" iMac. Looking to replace my current 27" iMac. All I see now is a 24". I have another 27" monitor and want to keep the same size.
iMac, OS X 10.11

Apple currently is only selling refurbished 27" iMacs. The only iMac in production at this time is the 24" model. You may want to consider the new M1 based Mac Mini and add your own 27" display or depending on what you use your computer for perhaps the new M1 Max Mac Studio and your own 27" display or the new Studio Display.

FYI, I have 27" iMac with 32GB Ram and SSD with I9 processor and I also have a Mac Mini M1 with the LG 5k display and it performs the same as my iMac because of the M1 chip being more efficient so it would be a good replacement.
The same could be asked for the 21.5" models ... Apple has decided to no longer produce them in favor of something else. We'll learn what that something else is when the decision is made to announce it.
Speculation is not allowed in the Ts & Cs.
That's outrageous. I, too, have been looking to replace my 27" iMac. Now the only way to get a machine with comparable specs to the one I already have is to buy a $2,000+ smaller computer with worse RAM / HD specs, or the Studio, and an overpriced display too?!
I'm so upset. I have only used Apple computers for close to twenty years now, but more and more, it seems that time is coming to an end, because it's so obvious Apple just does not care about customers like me. Utterly awful. .
Well it is nice that you have choices, you are probably spoiled because you likely made your own assumptions or read rumors and believed them rather that taking a neutral stance and then waited for facts to be announced. You still have lots of options open to you, many of them quite nice and I suspect if you do your due diligence will find something that suits your needs and budget just fine.
It's not about the M1 or use of memory. It's about the display size and space. I like the iMac because everything is right there. There are no other boxes I have to plug into taking up space. I have a 2nd 27" display connected to it. Works great when editing images. And it's not about being "spoiled" either.
Exactly. There's also the fact that I already have to supply my own peripherals since the Mac keyboard is unusable for anyone who does any real writing, and on top of the complete disregard for ergonomics, you can't even use the mouse when it's charging. Such "magic"! "Magically" makes my productivity evaporate!
To have to spend extra money on a display adds insult to injury.
Mirandate,

Guess what? That’s only your opinion. You have choices. Move to another platform and see if it makes you happy.
The RAM for the M1's is used much more efficiently and you get a *lot* more bang for your megabyte. And you don't need to buy the Apple Monitor.
