I have 7 members of my family on my cell phone service. Why can't they all share in the icloud+ family share plan?
Because six members is the limit of a family sharing group.

These are user to user forums. So nobody here has any inside information about Apple decisions. Apple limits family sharing to 6. That’s the way it is.
These forums are not a mechanism to answer “why” questions when it comes to why any Apple products or services are the way they are, since users here don’t know why.
I have this same question and this is NOT an answer. Why is this the limit? Some families are larger than 5 and if iCloud/iCloud+ is going to be a viable option for families like mine I need to at least have more email addresses available, even if the other services (music & app licensing, subscriptions, etc.) must still be limited. If Apple set an arbitrary limit at "X" I can accept that - but are there not ways to request an increase?
