Macbook will not provide passkey prompt to pair my bluetooth keyboard

Hi there,

My 2020 Macbook Pro (on OS Monterey 12.2) is not pairing with my Kenesis Freestyle 2 bluetooth keyboard. When I pair the keyboard, my Mac searches for it and eventually reports back "passkey mismatch" without providing the opportunity to enter a passkey to pair the keyboard. The keyboard pairs with other apple devices such as my phone because they provide the passkey prompt. My Macbook successfully paired with the keyboard once/shared a passkey prompt, the first time I paired it. Can you provide guidance for what to reset to reactivate the passkey prompt when pairing?

Thanks!

Bree
