How can I free up space
I have only 12 apps but no space how can I clear some space for updates

The only way you can create space is to delete photos, messages, apps, etc.. But if you are using an iPad 2 as indicated, you cannot update beyond iOS 9. That iPad is ancient and lacks the components needed to run newer software.
