I am trying to clear up storage space and the recommendation is to delete attachments (photos, videos) in Messages. I have deleted them but they keep coming back. I do not store/backup Messages on iCloud so why do they keep coming back to my phone?
Settings, General, iphone storage
Show all recommendations.
Empty the recently deleted and try again.
Also at the bottom, if Other is bigger than about 6GB (like 20GB) come back here as you may need to backup and restore but that is dangerous if the phone is rammed full
