Macbook Pro 2021 Issues with video calls due to Thunderbolt

Hi,

I've been having issues with my relatively new Macbook Pro 16 (M1 Pro) since its purchase. I plug it in to my Samsung C34J79x via thunderbolt 3, where it does power delivery and output to the monitor. The monitor also has a microphone (AT2020USB+), dac (FiiO K3) and webcam (Logitech C910) connected to it. I have used this setup on both a Dell Inspiron and my 2021 Macbook Pro (Intel) (all of these are work laptops). I was one of the lucky ones to get an M1 Mac so they can make sure no issues crop up with software compatibility.

On its own, I have never had major issues with the Mac, everything works as expected with the odd issue where touch Id doesn't work on the magic keyboard (together with it disconnecting intermittently from the laptop) a quick restart solved that.

The real issues are when I'm in a call and it gets stuck with me repeating a word. This has happened over microsoft teams and zoom (or me not being able to connect at all, this happened on google meet as well). After disconnecting and restarting the software I would not be able to join the meetings.

This is often solved by unplugging the thunderbolt cable and plugging it back in, although sometimes I'm even forced to restart in order to solve this.

There are also times where the usb camera just doesn't want to work unless I restart.

Any ideas how I can go about troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance.
