How do I search texts in Messages by phone number?

I need to search text messages by phone number. Entering the number in the search bar reveals texts that contain the number but not texts to or from the number.

iPhone 13 Pro

Hello Fretking,

Is this phone number saved as a contact on your device? If so, you can try searching using the contact name to see if that works.

Additionally, you may also want to include the country code when searching as this is usually added when sending messages.

Hey Bryan, thanks for responding. To answer your question, no. I have a Quickbooks customer base that numbers in the thousands but don't save them as contacts on my phone. I'm a recent convert to iPhone from 15 years of Android phones which return search results for anything related to a particular text down to the smallest detail or number. I assumed it would be the same in IOS but I've found many things are not :). This seems like a no-brainer to me. Hopefully there is another way.
