Downloads disappearing in Apple Music

Hello

i recently entered into a 6 month Apple Music trial on my iPhone SE and immediately added about 100 songs to my library and downloaded them all for offline use. However the music is going missing. Songs and albums disappear both in playlists and i my library, and when I reconnect to the internet they are not there. I have not synced my library with any other device and the ‘optimise storage’ option is not available on my phone for some reason. What is going on - where is all my music?

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hello, ecf48,

Based on what you've describe as occurring with your Apple Music, we would suggest taking the following steps. Try them in order, testing between each to see if the issue is resolved. You will likely need to add a few songs back to your library and download them for offline listening between each step, if it does not resolve the issue:

  1. Close all open apps: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support and restart your phone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support. Closing apps and restarting can sometimes clear out an unexpected software behavior.
  2. Make sure you are running the latest version of the iOS software for your iPhone SE: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Currently the latest version is iOS 15.4, which may contain additional updates and settings changes to help resolve the issue.
  3. If you have access to another device that supports Apple Music (an iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Windows PC, or Android device), see if you experience the same issue in Apple Music.

We also recommend reviewing the suggestions in If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library - Apple Support.

Don't hesitate to reach back out if the issue continues.
