I went to my cell phone carrier today to transfer my old iPhone data to my new iPhone 13 and activate but the activation never happened. My new phone has all my current phones info but why didn’t it ever activate? What am i missing

You need to go back to them (your carrier) and make sure your iPhone 13 Pro's builtin eSIM is activated
or that they put in the nano-SIM in to activate.

Normally it takes a hour to activate.
Since you were by the carrier, what did they tell you.
Did you put a nano-SIM in or activate the builtin eSIM with your carrier?
This was hours ago now, they told me the activations were a known issue today and it should be resolved… nothing was addressed with sims that I’m aware of. I’m not great with this stuff but I’m pretty sure my data was just transferred from the cloud and then i left without an active phone
