I just purchased my MacBook from somebody and I do not know the purchase date

I want to purchase protection plan for MacBook Air but I do not remember the purchase date

You wrote that you want to purchase an AppleCare Agreement for a Mac that you purchased from "somebody". The Mac's original purchase receipt is required to purchase an AppleCare Agreement. Contact that person to obtain it.

The only way you can purchase AppleCare is at the time of original purchase from Apple or an authorized apple reseller or within 60 days of such a purchase. In other words, you need to buy it new.


You cannot get AppleCare coverage on a used computer unless the previous owner already had it and transferred it to you which requires the seller to contact Apple and make the changes.
