iPhone 12 Pro decimal degrees for Compass?

How do I change the format of the Compass utility to decimal degrees?

If this is not possible, WHY NOT? Very simple thing to do in software...

Sigh, just another bit to sell me another "app".

My apologies if this is a simple thing I've missed, but I am getting increasingly fed up with Apple. Used to be Apple stuff worked (and there were choices about how). Now, it's "download a new App for that!"

And I'll likely have to download some other "downloader App" to download what I want.
