Has Apple support simply ignored this customer issue?

There is a support thread 'High Sierra - DVD Player app - no sound?'

Over 70 of us have registered the same or similar issue - other than a link to a useless help page no recognition or effort to address this issue from Apple support indeed they have thrown it back to users!

Not the support I expect from Apple.

I was going to ignore this but as you seem to have taken this personally I thought I would reply. This was reported on this site in 2017 as I assume the person who posted the original had tried all apple support channels and frustratingly got nowhere like myself. If you read their post they mention an issue with High Sierra after upgrade, no mention of a problem prior to upgrade so MAC hardware would have been OK? Like yourself I am making an assumption as no follow up posted so apologies to the original poster - my comment was on Apple Support not this community so unless you are associated/employed by Apple and can assist I would advise that you refrain from commenting on posts unless you can help.

A petty point but you did ask, if you check the original post you would have noticed the box indicating 71 others had this problem.

Regards and chill out mate, I have.
