iPhone stuck on Focus mode

My iPhone is stuck in Focus/DND mode. An important note is that those modes aren’t turned on- when I look they say they’re off, and I’ve actually deleted all personalized focus modes. But EFFECTIVELY they’re on- my notifications are silenced, calls are sent straight to VM, and when people go to text me it shows them the message that I have notifications silenced.

Please help!

Rntucker,

Here are a few other settings you can check:

1. Do you have any other iOS devices signed in with the same Apple ID? If so, check the Focus settings on these devices and make sure Share Across Devices is turned off.

2. Also, check your privacy settings for Focus. If you to go Settings > Privacy > Focus, and see if this is turned on. Check out About privacy and Location Services in iOS and iPadOS for more information about privacy settings.

3. If this is happening to particular contacts, if you open up Messages, tap on the message thread and then tap on the contact, you should see a settings for Share Focus Status for this particular contact.

4. You can also check your settings in Settings > Sound & Haptics and toggle your sounds and tones off and back on. See Change iPhone sounds and vibrations.

Hope this helps.

Have a good day.

Hi Rntucker,

Have you tried restarting your iPhone to see if the issue persists? Do you have a Do Not Disturb schedule enabled? Do you have a Bedtime schedule set that could be silencing your notifications? You can learn about the features we mentioned here:

Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touchUse Bedtime to track your sleep on your iPhone

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Take care.
