Mail Viewer Window doesn't open automatically
My Mail Viewer Window doesn't open automatically as it did just a few days ago.
What settings do I need to look at to restore it?
Thank you!

Command 0 ( that is a zero) will open the message viewer if none showing when you launch the Mail.app
note: The red pill button closes the window, it does not quit the app.
To quit the application use the drop down—Mail>Quit Mail or Command Q
