External monitor with Iphone only

Is there a monitor that can be controlled by Iphone only and without wifi? In other words, a larger external display plugged into iphone to watch YouTube or other dl content from phone? And without the necessity for wifi? So just using phone plan data or dl content? If anyone knows if such a connection and/or product exists I want to ditch my price gouging Xfinity internet and be able to make my phone my entertainment/ everything device. Thanks.

Hey there Iwillneverrememberthisusername,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. You can connect your iPhone to multiple different displays such as a computer monitor, TV, or projector. Check out the steps below for help:

1. Plug a Lightning Digital AV Adapter or Lightning to VGA Adapter into the charging port on the bottom of iPhone.
2. Connect an HDMI or VGA cable to your adapter.
3. Connect the other end of your HDMI or VGA cable to your monitor, TV, or projector.
4. If necessary, switch to the correct video source on your monitor, TV, or projector. If you need help, use your display’s manual.

You can find these steps at this link here: Connect iPhone to a display with a cable - Apple Support

As for using your cellular data to access apps and services, that can be done as well: Use cellular data on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

When cellular data is on, apps and services use your cellular connection when Wi-Fi isn't available. As a result, you might be charged for using certain features and services with cellular data. Contact your carrier for more information about possible charges.

We hope that's able to help.

Take care!
