15.1.1freezing Numerous apps. My 12ProMax. just had a forced update to 15.1.1. This is why I don’t like to update. Only way to recover is to restart the phone. A real PITA. It’s happening multiple times every day. I did my best to avoid updating. Somehow they Forced the update. Does iOS 15.4 solve this problem?

Remove any add-on security apps, remove any add-on VPN apps, restart, connect to Wi-Fi, switch to high-powered mode, free up sufficient room (and a 16 GB iPhone is going to be very tight on storage no matter what you do to free up space), and try the iOS software update again.

That is not possible.
iOS 15.2 was released on December 13, 2021 and iOS 15.1.1 was not able to be installed several days later. The current iOS version is 15.4.
Thank you for your prompt reply/response. You are correct. I made a major assumption. I have been having repeated upgrade requests and had a little 1 in the red dot on my settings icon for months. It disappeared and coincidentally my phone has begun to freeze up repeatedly. It would appear that an upgrade was made to remove the red indicator. Apparently that’s not correct either. Was this freeze issue addressed in any of these subsequent upgrades to 15.1.1? I am no longer being alerted to a new upgrade with the red dot? Why would that be? Attempted to Post my iOS status with a screenshot. No paste option. My iOS is currently 15.1.1
