Apple Charging Cable

The Apple charging cable gauge is too small. It offers major resistance which slows charging down tremendously and burns out the wire faster. They used to offer higher gauge wires for charging iPads. I do not see where that is an option. Anyone else see this issue?

The cables provided are what Apple provides. There is no way to choose what gauge wire you get in your charging cable. If you wish to let Apple know about your thoughts, you can provide feedback to Apple regarding a change you would like to see, a change you didn’t like, or report a bug, then use the feedback link here, Feedback - iPad - Apple

And your scientific proof Apple uses the wrong gauge charging cables is what?

I have charging cables from Apple which have been in use for years with no issues. There is nothing wrong with the "guage" of their charging cables. Any cable however, can wear out if not treated properly. That said, if you don't like the charging cable you received with your iPad, buy a new cable somewhere else. Amazon has many many options. Some of them are very well made, are braided on the outside to provide more durability and don't cost much at all.
