Two Apple IDs

I have two apple IDs: the first one from when first had an iPod and the second one that I created when I started using on my second iPhone. I am logged into the second one on my iPhone but when I go to download an app on my phone I am asked to log in the password for the first apple ID. I have no idea what that password. I am logged into the iCloud with my second apple ID and do not want to mess anything up with that.

Welcoming any suggestions on how to get the app store to recognize the second apple ID.

All apps purchased by the first Apple ID are tied to that Apple ID. You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.

If you forgot the Apple ID (iCloud) password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
