Police seizure

My iphone 11 and 6s has been in police custody since 2019 and was seized during an arrest. From which there has been a resolution to by the way. The police dept tells me I need to show court papers stating that I have had a resolution to the arresting charge(s) any legal footing for me to stand on? I'm in Fort Worth, Texas

My iPhone 8 is locked i had an iPhone 8 since it came out, brand new. I solicited basically every carrier to compare deals, giving them the IMEI number. They all tried to sign me up, despite my saying I was only shopping around. One was salesperson was very angry that after spending a lot of time with me, I said I was going to sign up online for the $250 rebate deal she couldn’t give me. She yelled at me about how long she’d spent and after a small tirade hung up on me. Two days later, when I resumed carrier shopping, I was told my phone was lost or stolen. I was holding it in my other hand. I called the carrier with the angry woman and was told that they don’t know WHO reported it as lost or stolen and that they had no way to know who did. They just get a report. The supervisor told me my only recourse was to “go to the person who sold it to you and try to get your money back. If they don’t give it to you, report them to the police.” When I told him it was bought from Apple new, he reiterated those two lines. I asked how do I report it as not stolen. Same two lines. I’m happy to show my passport in person, with a tax bill showing I’m me, but to who? The police? I’d love to see that “not stolen” police report. How do I fix this? [Re-titled by Moderator]

This is not the right forum to ask this question. No one here knows or cares to give any legal advice. This is a technical forum made up of consumers that use Apple devices and then try and help each other with technical questions and issues. I recommend that you contact a lawyer and get his/her advice.
