why did my iphone 8plus stop backing up to icloud 5 weeks ago

why won't my iphone 8 plus backup to icloud? I have 50G with only 5.7G used and it supposed to be on auto backup.

Does anything happen if you try to backup manually? Is any error code shown?

It just says “backup failed”.
