Why won't AirPods Pro stay in ear?

Air Pod Pro won't stay in. Used all different size tips, also purchased second set of memory foam ear tips with the same result. Walking, biking, sweating or lounging after a while they self eject!!!!

Because your ear canals differ.

I too have issues with AirPods and AirPods Pro fit, and using them inverted right-to-left and top-to-bottom and de-waxing did help there. Somewhat.

As the AirPods Pro do not appear to work for you… Return these for refund if you’re within the 14 day window.

Have a look at Beats Fit Pro as an alternative. There are issues I’ve found with those and particularly around materials and quality for the price, but (for my case) Fit Pro do stay inserted better.

I find that even with the largest tips, 1 falls out periodically. After inserting, I twist them to get a tight seal then re-adjust periodically. I'm also careful about where I use them since I'm not 100% confident they'll stay in. I wish Apple would adjust their tip sizing because I, like you, got the pro model so they'd stay in! Suggest you report this prob to tech support, get it on the record (w/your airpod's serial #) & ask what happens if they're damaged as a result of falling out. Let us know here what they say? Good luck!

Your experience is not unique. Mine stay seated, if I stay seated. If walking or exercising, they’ll fall out. Sometimes—too often—they’ll depart, while seated. This across multiple generations. (And all purchased directly from Apple, any suggestions of counterfeit products in another reply aside.)

Inverting and reversing has helped at times, somewhat.

Folks reading here with AirPods or AirPods Pro that fall out? Send your feedback to Apple: Product Feedback - Apple

For folks reading here considering buying, buy directly from Apple and try then and—if they fall out—return them while still within the fourteen day refund window. A number of folks I know have no issues, and the AirPods stay in place during exercise. As mentioned up-thread, I’ve had better success with Beats Fit Pro and their antlers for my ear canals, discussions of lower fit and finish aside.

Troubleshooting Not-Fitting AirPods:

These may not be genuine, if they are not staying in your ear. So, most certainly verify their genuineness.

Verifying Genuine AirPods:

  1. Get the Serial Number: Find the Serial Number of your AirPods - Apple Support
  2. Enter the Serial Number here: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/.
  3. View the Results: If all shows up as an AirPod, then you are fine. If not, then these are fake, and that is likely why you are getting the issue of connectivity.
