I am using 9.09 version of iMovie. I have Mac OS 10.13.6. The song I want is in my iTunes app and I can see it when I press the music icon in my IMovies project. To have the song go to the project the directions say to Add Audio button (it shows an icon of a + in a circle) next to the song. But I do not have that icon. What do you suggest?

Here's a link to an iMovie 9 tutorial that you might find helpful.

To quote from the above link:

"To add audio tracks to your project, click on the Music and Sound Effects button .

Browse to the sound effect or iTunes item and simply drag it to your project. The audio file appears as a green rectangle behind the video timeline. You can drag the audio file around the timeline to place it in the exact area you want."
