iPhone 12 gesture bar stuck on my Home Screen

Hi,

Recently in my use of my iPhone I have encountered an issue where the white bar used for swiping out of apps remains on my Home Screen when it shouldn’t (photos below). I’ve looked at images of other home screens and the navigation bar wasn’t on the Home Screen. I’ve restarted my phone already and updated to the latest version of iOS. I think the issue might be because of some accessibility setting that is on, I’m not certain it is that though (this answer was suggested by another online article). If someone has any suggestions to resolve this problem it would be much appreciated.
