XCODE on a usb flash drive?

Hi there dose anyone know how I can install XCODE on a usb flash drive?

The reason that I want to do this is because my Mac book air has not got enough storage to hold XCODE but I need to use the app dose anyone know how I can install this.

Xcode stays on your Mac. It installs other binaries and data outside of the app bundle to other places on your Mac and is horribly slow even on your far faster internal storage.


Free up other nonessential personal data. Look at the Apple () menu > About This Mac > Storage panel. Click Manage… Reduce Clutter [ Review Files ]. This will show you descending file sizes for different categories, and you will likely find some large candidates for removal there.
