Cannot pair iPhone 12 Pro Max to new iMac via bluetooth. Error message "pairing unsuccessful "iMac" is not supported"
iPhone model 12 Pro Max, ios version 15.3.1
iMac macOS Monterey version 12.2.1
Everything is up to date. Pairing with other bluetooth devices is successful from both devices, but not with each other. Unable to use AirDrop.
Any advice?
iMac 21.5″, OS X 10.11
Start by updating the iPhone to current version 15.4 released March 14, 2022
Followed by macOS Monterey 12.3 also released March 14, 2022
See if both updates may or may nor fix the issue

I have an iPad / iPhone similar problem, but my post gets rejected.
I'm having the same problem, and have the most recent updates on both my iPhone 11 and new MacBook Pro 16. I cannot get them to pair, get the same error message, and can't do Airdrop.
