AppleID disaster recovery

Hi,

I have a question. I have enabled 2FA on my Apple ID.

The question is: let's assume that I lost all the Apple devices and I don't have access to phone number.

How can I login to my Apple ID ?

I know username and password (and recovery code). The only problem is bypassing 2FA.

More info:

Apple has a support page about the recovery key

The recovery key is in "Settings > your name > Password Security"  if you have set one up on your iPhone)

(On Mac, it's in System Preferences ... see the support page below) for details

If you haven't set one up, you may have the option to generate a recovery key to help improve account security.

OR

Learn more about using account recovery instead of a recovery key.

Eg: Apple's article (link below) says:

"If you use two-factor authentication and can’t sign in or reset your password,

you can regain access after an account recovery waiting period.

In some cases, you might be able to speed up the account recovery process

or reset your password immediately by verifying a six-digit code sent to your primary email address.

You might also be able to shorten the wait time by providing credit-card details to confirm your identity. If you’re given this option, an authorisation request goes to the card issuer."

All the best :-)

Setup a backup SMS or voice telephone number. See -> Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

If in the USA a Google voice number works great as a backup trusted telephone number to receive codes if needed.

Trusted phone numbers

A trusted phone number is a number that can be used to receive verification codes by text message or automated phone call. You must verify at least one trusted phone number to enroll in two-factor authentication.

You should also consider verifying an additional phone number you can access, such as a home phone, or a number used by a family member or close friend. You can use this number if you temporarily can't access your primary number or your own devices.”
