Face ID with Mask on iPad Pro

With the new software update, I can log into my phone with a mask using Face ID but can’t seem to do so with a mask on my iPad (Face ID only works without a mask on my iPad). Is anyone else having this issue? Is there something i need to change in the settings of my iPad?
