Warranty

Until 3 months ago I was living in Germany, where I bought some apple products, including an IPad, whose warranty period expires on 20 April . Then I moved back to my hom country, Turkey. Today I took my iPad to an authorised service for repair. But I was told that warranty is not valid in Turkey. Is this really so? If yes, why?

kind regards

Here are two links you can read through - note that the warranty does say that Apple may restrict coverage to the country of purchase:

Warranty on most Apple products is not international, it is generally restricted to the country of purchase. For devices purchased in the EU, that warranty is valid anywhere in the EU. And when it comes to Authorized Service Centers, they especially have the option to refuse service for devices not purchased in their country. If you are close to an EU country, you would be able to go there for service. Otherwise, you will need to use this link to see about any other service. Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support Click on your country and make contact with Apple.
