Pencil works but suddenly the pressure won’t

My Apple Pencil 2 works, but know longer works with any tool that uses pressure sensitivity in any app. Can I modify a setting? Would a change of tip help? It works otherwise just no pressure sensitivity whatsoever. Can that be switched on/off?

Hello Jonascher,

Looking over Apple Pencil settings, it looks like there are only a couple options and they aren't related to what you're experiencing. You can review them here: Change Apple Pencil (2nd generation) settings.

It is possible the issue could be related to the tip. If you'd like to check your options for having the tip replaced reach out to Apple Support. You can contact them at Get Support.

Best regards.

Thank you, Missy. Yeah I went through the settings and there’s nothing for adjusting the pressure that I could find. I ordered Apple replacement tips and I’ll find out if that solves it. The phone support just wanted to blame the apps I use (Procreate and Affinity Photo). But those apps are different companies/developers and I don’t think the glitch would manifest in both starting, the same day, if it wasn’t a hardware issue. I’ll follow up in the thread if the new tip doesn’t help.

I also rebooted and re-paired and turned blue tooth off/on. No change. Thanks for your feedback.
