MacBook Pro died while reinstalling OS and is now Bricked?

While Reinstalling the OS after a Factory Reset the Laptop was unplugged and died. Now it shows 0 signs of life. I've tried key combinations while plugged in, and got nothing at all. No lights, screens, anything. Curious if anyone has had a similar issue and found a solution.

It's likely that the Mac was in the process of installing internal firmware, and now it can't start up. Luckily, Apple already thought about this, and has a recovery mechanism available.


You will need to revive or restore the firmware, using a second Mac running macOS Catalina or later. For details, see these articles:
