my family member bought a few movies and we recently merged into family sharing on apple ID but i cant seem to see the movies that they have purchased on my devices despite following exactly whats being taught on support.apple. Any help please!?

You should be able to share Movies with your family members as mentioned here: What types of content can I share with my family? Start by making sure the family member has Purchase Sharing turned on. Having it turned off could be causing the issue.
If they have an iOS device they can follow these steps:
> [your name] > Family Sharing.If they're using a Mac, check out this article: Change Purchase Sharing preferences in Family Sharing on Mac
Then use these steps to download the movies that your family members purchased
On an iOS device:
1. Open the App Store, Apple TV app, or Apple Books.
2. App Store: Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen, then tap Purchased.
Apple TV app: Tap the Library tab, then tap Family Sharing.
Apple Books: Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen.
3. Tap your family member's name to see their content. Learn what to do if you don’t see any content or can't tap your family member.
4. To download an item, tap the Download button next to it.
On a Mac:
1. Open the Apple TV app.
2. Click Library at the top of the window, then click the arrow next to Library in the sidebar and select a family member's library.
3. Download or play the show that you want.
