Deleting gmail account from mail app
Should you keep gmail or aol emails on Mail app or under their own app

The gmail and AOL mail apps support Push, where content is updated in real time. Neither supports push using the built in app. Other than that its a matter of personal preference, whether you want all of your mail in one place or not. You can even do both, if you want; that is have the gmail/AOL app AND add the accounts to the mail app.
