MacBook Air making a weird squeaking noise when I power it on.

Over the past two years, I have heard a weird squeaking noise on my 2017 MacBook Air.

For the past 1 and a half years, I thought that it was normal, but when I found out my friends had a MacBook that was made during a similar time period, I checked to see if it made a similar sound, it did not.

I'm just wondering what I need to do to get rid of this squeaking noise. Is it a hardware related issue or do I just need to do a simple factory reset?

Squeaks are most likely mechanical in nature ... tight hinge sort of thing maybe.

For mechanical problems, Apple needs to make a hands-on evaluation.
