MacBook Air Touch id sometimes don't work

My device is the m1 chip MacBook Air. I found out that sometimes when I try to unlock my Mac with Touch ID it doesn't responds. It forces me to use password to unlock. When I shut down my Mac again and wanted to try to use Touch ID to open it again, it just won't open! Is the a know bug or just my own problem?

Touch ID Issue I just bought a MacBook Pro M1 2020 a few days ago, and all of the sudden when I restart my computer, it doesn't ask for the Touch ID any more. In fact, doesn't work on apps, password refill, etc... Has anyone else come across this issue?

After a reboot, you have to enter your password before you can start using Touch ID.

You might try wiping the Touch ID key with a slightly damp cloth.

I tried the first two options but still didn't solve my question. Anyways, thanks for helping.

Restart macbook

Boot into recovery and disk scan

go to apple store to fix it
