spacebar

My spacebar is not working. I have to use the alt + spacebar to get a space in between words and also when I hit the spacebar it shuts down my programs. I have tried another keyboard and one that is hardwired and they do the same thing so it is not my keyboard.

Go to your Accessibility preferences and make sure that Full Keyboard Access is turned OFF.
