Libby App

My wife has a iPAD 2 and wishes to use it for Libby app (Library app). The iPAD is on iOS 9.5.3. Looking at compatibility an earlier version of Libby use to run on this device and iOS levels. It seems now they are unsupported and you need iOS 10 for this app to run with a supported app. I know it's a big ask, but is there a way to download a earlier version of the app. I know it will be unsupported.
