In this image, your battery is too low to backup the iPhone. You need to connect the device to charge and once you have gotten above 50%, keep it connected to power and check. You should be able to backup by that time. If the battery icon tuns yellow, then it is still in low power mode, and you will have to wait until it gets to 80% charge to turn off Low Power Mode, then you should be able to backup the device.
