I have a apple gift card that i redeemed and try to use the funds on a game it says unable to find a payment method

Do you have a credit card on file? Is the cost of the purchase plus applicable taxes more than your account balance? Have you tried signing out of the App Store/iTunes, restarting the device, and then signing back in?
