My back camera shows a black screen. The forward camera still works.

How to fix this issue of have a black screen on my back camera on my iPad Air?

If the camera or flash on your iPhone isn't working, we advise taking these steps:

    1. Remove any case, accessory, or film that might block the camera or that places a magnet near the camera.
    2. Test the camera by trying to take a photo. See if the photo comes out black or just the preview.
    3. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens or if the camera lens appears to be misaligned or blocked, contact Apple Support for help with your iPhone.
    4. Restart your iPhone.
    5. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
    6. Close the camera app and reopen it: Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch.


If the issue persists, further assistance may be needed. We want to make sure you reach the right team for help with your iPhone camera, so we recommend that you contact Apple Support directly. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support.
