Sync issues with iPhone and desktop messenger

I'm signed in on multiple devices (iPhone, 2 Macbook Pros, iPad Pro) and use iCloud on all devices, but Messenger will not sync between devices. Both work independently fine, but I cannot follow the complete conversation on both devices. Anyone know a solution to make them sync?

No problem. You need to setup Continuity. See the instructions here, which gives you the information about how to forward text messages from the phone to the iPad and Mac. Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support You can look at any of that you want, but the section on Text Message Forwarding is why you want when it comes to Messages.
