M1 iMac 24' transporting

I am currently planning to move from Singapore to the United States, and I am considering what options do I have to transport the iMac. Since neither of the countries is my home, I believe my two options are trying to sell the iMac or travel with it on the plane.

1) I would ideally put it in the checked-in luggage. I have the original box and I am not too worried about it being stolen. However, the box seems to indicate the iMac (or the accessories) might have lithium batteries in them, which would prevent me from being able to check them in. Does the iMac have lithium batteries, or is it just the accessories?

2) Alternatively, I am considering bringing it as a carry-on. I think it would be possible if I removed the stand. Is it possible for apple to take off the stand for me? If it is taken off, can it be put back in place in the future?
