Esim qr code scanner does not work on iphone 13 pro

I am trying to activate a esim plan on my iphone pro.

When I launch camera app and click on a esim qr code - nothing happens at all, no error message, nothing.

When I do the same with the same code on my iphone 12 mini - works perfectly well.

On my iphone 13 pro it does not give me any error message, the phone doesn’t seem to interact with the code at all, although it highlights it and says “cellular plan” on a yellow badge, which is not clickable, unlike on iphone 12 mini.

This is what i see, but can not do anything beyond this. But this code works perfectly fine on my other iphone, so the issue is not in the code. The phone is connected to the same wifi network, all conditions are the same.
