Yeti X Mic + BlueVoice Software Macbook M1 - Driver Blocked

This week a new version of G-hub has been released which from what I've heard should support Monterey better. Unfortunately, my Yeti X now indicates that the "driver is blocked" and this "blocks needs to be lifted":

However, when doing that it just opens the security and privacy panel without further actions to take:

The Yeti X is only usable as a basic mic on my M1 right now, while it worked fine with the Bluevoice Software (Also updated to Monterey) on my 2016 Macbook Pro which I still own.

Both my Yeti X and new Macbook M1 are still within return period. I read in previous topics, that problems are already present with Bluevoice with the M1's for 1+ year. I wish I knew this before I purchased the machine.

Any advice? I don't mind returning 1 of the 2 devices, as I'm not fully confident Apple or Logitech can fix this after reading through the topics and looking at the timestamps of the posts.

You would be far better served by selecting a USB DAW audio input device and professional microphone inputs. Instead of relying on a microphone that connects via USB you connect a traditional high quality microphone to the USB DAW device that connects to your computer via USB. The DAW will have inputs / outputs and handle all the analog to digital and digital to analog conversion. You can connect external speakers (powered studio monitors KRK, etc.) to it and they mostly all have a headphone monitoring capability. The Scarlett brand was quick to adopt M1 support and it's simpler as the DAW box does all the heavy lifting in hardware and merely needs to connect to the Mac with a simpler software driver. A great deal of additional software licenses are included with the Scarlett products including some plugins that work with GarageBand and Logic as well as bundles of alternatives like Pro Tools (personally hate Pro Tools but to each their own) and Abelton.

The Focusrite Scarlett devices are popular with podcasters and YouTubers. There are other products but I absolutely love my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 which provides 2 Mic / Instrument inputs. It will support a wide variety of microphones and that is very personal choice to make depending on your precise needs and budget. It is not necessary to spend a great deal of money on a microphone but you do need to select the right one for your needs. Scarlett has an entire range of products depending on your needs. The Solo would be one microphone input.

Again, there are other DAW products on the market, just make sure they provide excellent support for Macs. A music store might be a great place to discuss all the details in person. Or you can call Sweetwater they have amazingly knowledgeable staff and their prices and customer service are outstanding.

You can try restarting. Then immediately to back to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and see if the blocked extension is listed.

You can try uninstalling all of the software and then reinstalling.

Those blocked system extensions can only be unblocked within 30 minutes of installation. After that, it won't show in the preference pane any more. Restarting and/or reinstalling may reset things and trigger it to show up again.

Unfortunately, Apple discourages these kinds of low-level system modifications. That's why they are so difficult to install, use, and uninstall. And on the other side, absolutely nobody writes worse software than hardware manufacturers. So the drivers that come with 3rd party hardware devices are just awful. Essentially, you have to large corporations passive-aggressively fighting each other.

Generally I tend to side with Apple on these fights. Apple does try to provide alternative interfaces and officially-supported APIs that don't need these system extensions. But 3rd party developers regularly refuse to use them. If it worked a certain way in 2002, it should work that way in 2022!
