Notes App Crashing

My work macbookpro as well as my personal macbook air, both M1s, both on Monterey are experiencing really slow loading and crashing with the notes app. Actually my macbook air did not have that problem until I recently updated to Monterey, but my brand new work macbook was already doing so. Yes, of course I have restarted them before someone suggests that.

Notes app on Mac using 100-200% CPU I use the Notes app every day, and it is continuously using 100-200% CPU. I've restarted in Safe Mode, created a new user account on my MacBook Pro (M1) with a new AppleID, and the problem doesn't present. The problem also disappears when I log out of iCloud in my main user account (thus using an empty Notes app/creating a couple notes). I have ~3,866 notes in All iCloud. This issue was present in macOS versions before my current Ventura OS. Would I have to delete thousands of Notes to keep my laptop running/idling cool? I don't want to have to switch to another app! Is there no solution to this continuous, high CPU usage? Could it be a particular corrupted note with a broken link/media file that's causing the CPU to run so high? If so, how would I find it among my many notes? Thanks for your help!

Notes Quitting Unexpectedly iMac 27" late 2014, macOS Big Sur 11.7.2. I always keep my system software and apps updated to the latest revision. Notes is version 4.8.1 (1872). Recently, within the last couple of months, any time I have Notes open at the same time as I'm using Safari or Mail, it will always close suddenly after being open for a few minutes. I do have a large number of notes saved, many with photos embedded, but I've been using Notes in this way for quite a long time (years) without any difficulties. My iMac has plenty of RAM (32 GB) and storage is not full (> 50GB available). Each time it displays the problem report and says that it will be sent to Apple immediately when I reopen Notes. Notes is working fine other than this frequent application crash which does not seem to cause any loss of data. I use Malwarebytes to check my system for Malware and have occasionally had it identify and quarantine malware that it finds, but since this problem with Notes has started occurring I've had a few Malwares identified and removed and it has not made a difference. Any suggestions on what may be causing this and what I could do to troubleshoot or repair the problem?

Weird Self-Inflicted Notes Problem I made a dumb mistake that has had catastrophic consequences. I opened my Notes up and entered the SELECT ALL command, intending to select all the text in the note I had open. Instead, I selected all the NOTES. I then clicked on the note I wanted to be working with to resolve that, but inadvertently commanded notes to OPEN EVERY NOTE instead. I have thousands of Notes. The app crashed while trying to open all those windows, of course, so I force quit it. But now, also of course, every time I open Notes, it immediately tries to open every note and crashes immediately. I have tried to interrupt the app's processes using Activity Monitor and Terminal, but it looks like the crash is well underway before I can do that. I also restarted the Mac, just in case, but that didn't help either. All my notes are backed up of course, but I use Notes every day for all sorts of random stuff. How can I get the Notes app working again?

MacBooks were discontinued 3 years ago.

That was a typo, but I did mention they both have M1s, so obviously it's a macbook pro.
