Help with Logic Pro X not starting due to Monterey upgrade / 3rd party components

Hi,

I unfortunately didn't read that you need to be ultra careful upgrading OS to Monterey or Logic Pro X could stop booting up. I have tried to read several different posts, moved my 8 or so 3rd party components to a desktop folder and Logic Pro X will still not start.

Does anyone have first hand experience, willing to remote into my computer and help me figure this out? Happy to pay for your time. Or id there is a tech service that specializes in helping people in my situation. Have to think this is 10 minutes to fix but I am just not great at navigating all of this and troubleshooting.

Let me know if interested and we can connect.

Thanks.

Hi there, one option is to try to launch Logic while holding a modifier key to disable audio / plugins, etc. More details here: Use startup modifier keys with Logic Pro - Apple Support

Also, since you upgraded to Monterey, it might be possible for you to simply update / upgrade Logic.

N.B.: Before updating Logic, I'd recommend to back up the current version of the app by compressing the Logic app bundle into a zip-archive. To do so, right/control - click the app filename, then choose "Compress Logic Pro (X)..." from the drop-down menu. After it is compressed, copy the resulting archive to an external storage device. To restore this version, unpack the archive into Applications folder.

You could also try these steps to resolve this: If Logic Pro isn't working - Apple Support

But I really think it's a matter of just updating Logic itself (unless you want to keep the current version you have for some reason).
