If I have a acer chrome computer will it still work?

So I didn’t have space and I really wanna update my phone. So I came on here and i saw a sentence that said “ If you don’t have any storage then use on your computer “ or something like that also it says you have to use a Mac IOS and the other ones but I don’t have those type of computers so I was wondering if I use a Acer chrome computer will it work?
