Computer won't recognize iphone to import photos
I've got the latest version of itunes on my PC.
I've got the latest iOS update on my iPhone 11Pro.
My Microsoft updates are as up-to-date as possible.
I've checked all of my USB posts, they're all working fine for the test device.
All devices have been restarted recently.
When I connect my iPhone to import photos to my PC, after I choose "allow" for the computer to access them, I choose PHOTOS from my START menu, if it doesn't pop up automatically. Then I choose IMPORT from a connected device. It goes through my photos, displays total amount in the phone, plus the number which haven't been downloaded to the computer.
I choose import all since last import. It will do maybe (MAYBE) 50, and then quit. I go through the same process over and over again; each time less and less photos actually import.
I've reset the privacy and location settings on my iPhone. Restarted by devices, and logged back in to itunes. Now it won't even find the iphone -- but it is connected, because I can see it in my network if I go through THIS COMPUTER.
I'm desperate to clean out photos from my iPhone.
I also can't drag and drop from the iPhone to the PC. Again, it does a few, and then I get a 'cannot locate this device' error message.
I've read all the blogs and help columns I can. I'm out of things to try.
Can someone shed some light on this challenge? Please? TIA.
